   [asv]it came to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul, with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.

   [lb5]大衛問他說︰「你從哪里來的?」他對他說︰「我是從以色列營里逃來的。」
   [nb5]大衛問他:“你從哪裡來?”他對他說:“我是從以色列的營中逃出來的。”
   [asv]And David said unto him, From whence comest thou? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.

   [bbe]And David said to him, Where have you come from? And he said, I have come in flight from the tents of Israel.
1:4[hb5]大衛又問他說、事情怎樣、請你告訴我.他回答說、百姓從陣上逃跑、也有許多人仆倒死亡、掃羅和他兒子約拿單也死了。
   [lb5]大衛又問他說︰「事情怎么樣了?請告訴我。」他說︰「民眾從戰場上逃跑,也有許多人仆倒死亡,掃羅和他兒子約拿單也死了。」
   [nb5]大衛又問他:“情況怎麼樣?請你告訴我!”他回答:“眾人都逃離戰場,他們中間不但有許多人倒地陣亡,連掃羅和他的兒子約拿單也死了。”
   [asv]And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray thee, tell me. And he answered, The people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.

   [bbe]And David said to him, How did things go? Give me the news. And in answer he said, The people have gone in flight from the fight, and a great number of them are dead; and Saul and his son Jonathan are dead.
1:5[hb5]大衛問報信的少年人說、你怎麼知道掃羅和他兒子約拿單死了呢。
   [lb5]大衛問向他報信的青年人說︰「你怎么知道掃羅和他兒子約拿單死了呢?」
   [nb5]於是,大衛問那向他報信的年輕人:“你怎麼知道掃羅和他的兒子死了呢?”
   [asv]And David said unto the young man that told him, How knowest thou that Saul and Jonathan his son are dead?
   [kjv]And David said unto the young man that told him, How knowest thou that Saul and Jonathan his son be dead?
   [bbe]And David said to the young man who gave him the news, Why are you certain that Saul and his son Jonathan are dead?
1:6[hb5]報信的少年人說、我偶然到基利波山、看見掃羅伏在自己槍上、有戰車、馬兵、緊緊的追他。
   [lb5]向他報信的青年人說︰「我碰巧在基利波山上,忽見掃羅靠在自己的矛上,又見有車輛和馬兵首領緊緊地追上他。
   [nb5]那個向大衛報信的年輕人回答:“我剛巧在基利波山,看見掃羅靠在自己的矛槍上,又見有戰車和馬兵緊緊地追趕他。
   [asv]And the young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul was leaning upon his spear; and, lo, the chariots and the horsemen followed hard after him.

   [bbe]And the young man said, I came by chance to Mount Gilboa, and I saw Saul supporting himself on his spear; and the war-carriages and horsemen overtook him.
1:7[hb5]他回頭看見我、就呼叫我、我說、我在這堙D
   [lb5]他向后一轉,就看見我,便呼叫我﹔我說︰「看哪,我在這里呢。」
   [nb5]他回頭看到我,就呼喚我。我說:‘我在這裡。’
   [asv]And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called unto me. And I answered, Here am I.

   [bbe]And looking back, he saw me and gave a cry to me. And answering him I said, Here am I.
1:8[hb5]他問我說、你是甚麼人、我說、我是亞瑪力人.
   [lb5]他問我說︰「你是誰?」我對他說︰「我是亞瑪力人。」
   [nb5]他問我:‘你是誰?’我回答他:‘我是亞瑪力人。’
   [asv]And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.

   [bbe]And he said to me, Who are you? And I said, I am an Amalekite.
1:9[hb5]他說、請你來將我殺死、因為痛苦抓住我、我的生命尚存。
   [lb5]他對我說︰「請站在我身旁,將我殺死﹔因為我只是感到暈眩,我的生氣還在。」
   [nb5]於是他對我說:‘請你站到我身邊來,把我殺死,因為痛苦抓住我,我卻還死不了。’
   [asv]And he said unto me, Stand, I pray thee, beside me, and slay me; for anguish hath taken hold of me, because my life is yet whole in me.
   [kjv]He said unto me again, Stand, I pray thee, upon me, and slay me: for anguish is come upon me, because my life is yet whole in me.
   [bbe]Then he said to me, Come here to my side, and put me to death, for the pain of death has me in its grip but my life is still strong in me.
1:10[hb5]我準知他仆倒必不能活、就去將他殺死、把他頭上的冠冕、臂上的鐲子、拿到我主這堙C
   [lb5]我准知道他仆倒后必活不了,就去站在他身旁,將他殺死,把他頭上的王冠、手臂上的環子、拿到我主這里來。」
   [nb5]我就站到他身邊去,把他殺了,因為我知道他一倒下,就不能再活了。我摘下他頭上的王冠,取下他臂上的手鐲,帶到這裡來奉給我主。”
   [asv]So I stood beside him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.

1:12[hb5]而且悲哀、哭號、禁食到晚上、是因掃羅和他兒子約拿單、並耶和華的民以色列家的人、倒在刀下。
   [lb5]為了掃羅和掃羅的兒子約拿單、并為了永恆主的眾民、以色列家的人、就號啕哀哭,禁食到晚上,因為這許多人都倒斃于刀下。

   [asv]and they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of Jehovah, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.

1:13[hb5]大衛問報信的少年人說、你是那堛漱H、他說、我是亞瑪力客人的兒子。
   [lb5]大衛問向他報信的青年人說︰「你是哪里的人?」他說︰「我是個寄居人的兒子、是個亞瑪力人。」
   [nb5]大衛問那向他報信的年輕人:“你是哪裡的人?”他回答:“我是個寄居這地的亞瑪力人的兒子。”
   [asv]And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence art thou? And he answered, I am the son of a sojourner, an Amalekite.
   [kjv]And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence art thou? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.
   [bbe]And David said to the young man who had given him the news, Where do you come from? And he said, I am the son of a man from a strange land; I am an Amalekite.
1:14[hb5]大衛說、你伸手殺害耶和華的受膏者、怎麼不畏懼呢。
   [lb5]大衛對他說︰「你伸手殺害永恆主所膏立的,怎么還不畏懼呢?」
   [nb5]大衛對他說:“你伸手毀滅耶和華的受膏者,怎麼還不懼怕呢?”
   [asv]And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to put forth thy hand to destroy Jehovah's anointed?
   [kjv]And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed?
   [bbe]And David said to him, Had you no fear of stretching out your hand to put to death the one marked with the holy oil?
1:15[hb5]大衛叫了一個少年人來、說、你去殺他吧。
   [lb5]大衛叫了一個青年人來,說︰「你上前去、把他殺掉。」那青年人刺他一刀,他就死了。
   [nb5]於是大衛叫了一個年輕人來,說:“你上前去,砍倒他。”那年輕人擊殺他,他就死了。
   [asv]And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he smote him, so that he died.

   [bbe]And David sent for one of his young men and said, Go near and put an end to him. And he put him to death.
1:16[hb5]大衛對他說、你流人血的罪、歸到自己的頭上、因為你親口作見證、說、我殺了耶和華的受膏者.少年人就把他殺了。
   [lb5]大衛先對他說︰「你流人血的罪歸到你自己頭上,因為你親口作証控訴你自己、說︰『我把永恆主所膏立的殺死了。』」
   [nb5]大衛對他說:“你流人血的罪要歸到自己的頭上,因為你親口作證指控自己說:‘我殺了耶和華的受膏者。’”
   [asv]And David said unto him, Thy blood be upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain Jehovah's anointed.
   [kjv]And David said unto him, Thy blood be upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain the LORD's anointed.
   [bbe]And David said to him, May your blood be on your head; for your mouth has given witness against you, saying, I have put to death the man marked with the holy oil.
1:17[hb5]大衛作哀歌、弔掃羅和他兒子約拿單.
   [lb5]大衛唱了以下這首哀歌、來悼念掃羅和掃羅的兒子約拿單﹔
   [nb5]大衛為掃羅和他的兒子約拿單作了這首哀歌。
   [asv]And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son
   [kjv]And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son:
   [bbe]Then David made this song of grief for Saul and Jonathan, his son:
1:18[hb5]且吩咐將這歌教導猶大人.這歌名叫弓歌、寫在雅煞珥書上。
   [lb5]看哪,這歌是寫在正直人詩歌集上的。他說︰「猶大阿,哀哭哦(傳統︰要教導猶大人開弓)!
   [nb5]他又吩咐要把這首“弓歌”教導猶大人。(這首歌記錄在《雅煞珥書》上。)
   [asv](and he bade them teach the children of Judah [the song of] the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jashar):

   [bbe](It is recorded in the book of Jashar for teaching to the sons of Judah) and he said:
1:19[hb5]歌中說、以色列阿、你尊榮者在山上被殺.大英雄何竟死亡。
   [lb5]以色列阿,憂傷哦(傳統︰美麗)!他在你的山丘上被刺死﹔英雄怎么竟仆倒阿!
   [nb5]“以色列啊!尊榮的人都在高處被殺,勇士怎麼都已仆倒!
   [asv]Thy glory, O Israel, is slain upon thy high places! How are the mighty fallen!
   [kjv]The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen!
   [bbe]The glory, O Israel, is dead on your high places! How have the great ones been made low!
1:20[hb5]不要在迦特報告、不要在亞實基倫街上傳揚、免得非利士的女子歡樂、免得未受割禮之人的女子矜誇。
   [lb5]不要在迦特報信﹔不要在亞實基倫街上傳消息,免得非利士人的女子喜樂,免得沒受割禮者的女子歡躍。
   [nb5]你們不要在迦特報道,不要在亞實基倫的街上宣揚,免得非利士的女子歡喜,免得未受割禮之人的女子快樂。
   [asv]Tell it not in Gath, Publish it not in the streets of Ashkelon; Lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, Lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.
   [kjv]Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.
   [bbe]Give no news of it in Gath, let it not be said in the streets of Ashkelon; or the daughters of the Philistines will be glad, the daughters of men without circumcision will be uplifted in joy.
1:21[hb5]基利波山哪、願你那堥S有雨露.願你田地無土產可作供物.因為英雄的盾牌、在那堻Q污丟棄.掃羅的盾牌、彷彿未曾抹油。
   [lb5]「基利波山哪,愿你上頭沒有露珠、沒有雨水﹔成為死亡山之田野(傳統︰提獻祭的田野)﹔因為英雄的盾牌竟在你那里被丟棄﹔掃羅的盾牌竟沒有抹油。
   [nb5]基利波的群山啊!願雨露都不降在你們上面,願你們的田地不產供物。因為勇士的盾牌在那裡玷污,掃羅的盾牌沒有用油抹亮。
   [asv]Ye mountains of Gilboa, Let there be no dew nor rain upon you, neither fields of offerings: For there the shield of the mighty was vilely cast away, The shield of Saul, not anointed with oil.
   [kjv]Ye mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil.
   [bbe]O mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain on you, you fields of death: for there the arms of the strong have been shamed, the arms of Saul, as if he had not been marked with the holy oil.
1:22[hb5]約拿單的弓箭、非流敵人的血不退縮.掃羅的刀劍、非剖勇士的油不收回。

   [asv]Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, Who clothed you in scarlet delicately, Who put ornaments of gold upon your apparel.

1:26[hb5]我兄約拿單哪、我為你悲傷.我甚喜悅你、你向我發的愛情奇妙非常、過於婦女的愛情。
   [lb5]我的哥哥約拿單哪,我為你悲痛﹔你非常令我喜悅﹔你愛你的情很奇妙,勝過婦女的愛情。
